Does that win make Wednesday at SJP all the more vital?

I hope we sell out, I'm all for each club taking turns in hosting the internationals, it makes us feel a little more part of it.

Roly - try a round at Close House (the University's own course, between Heddon on the Wall and Wylam - you can see signs for it on the A69), in the heart of Foot'n'Mouth country, - nice and flat, not many trees, friendly, and very quiet as the students aren't back yet, and cheap too. Where I learned to play, badly.

how Roly - when you're staying at the George, if there`s still a Greek restaurant manager there called Mr. Nikki say hi from me will ya? It`s from a few years ago mind. Cheers

PS. the fud`s a bit pricy there but they always used to do a canny yorkshire pudn & gravy down the road in the pub at Wall if you`re interested

does anyone know whether, apart from refreshments etc, we get any of the revenue? Incidentally, England games only ever sell out when it's a big game (eg. Germany or Scotland) - you could buy tickets on the day for most England games at Wembley.

Bit of a difference in capacity though perhaps Dougal? How many NE- based players do you expect to figure as that`s bound to have an impact on attendance?

LT - none! I reckon there will be 45,000+ there in any case.

I'll actually be very disappointed if it isn't sold out - which in my view would be entirely down to the FA's incompetant ticketing arrangements which has meant despite people like myself being told many weeks ago that it was completely sold out, apparently 10,000 tickets went on sale only this week! Un-bloody-believable.

Just back from the usual SJP ticket chaos. Joined the queue, then discovered after 40 minutes that it was for ManU tickets and the other ticket office was open for England tickets. Nobody bothering to bliddy check as you joined the queue. :-(

So I headed round to the other queue, stopping on the way to take a quick snap of Alan Shearer who was with Gary Speed getting his golf clubs out of a car. Stood for a further hour, a guy came down the queue checking we all wanted Ingerland tickets - why couldn't they do that in the OTHER queue?? Anyway, all the £22 and bairns were sold out so I got the top of the Gallowgate for £32. Who else is gannin?

BTW, I also took a couple of photos of Ken's brick. Will post them when I finish the film.

Divn't take the convertible to Chollerford, Roly. There's a disinfectant spray machine on the bridge. Actually, do go with the roof down and yer makem top on. Might bleach it white which will make it half respectable ;-)

The George, eh. Nice place. Matfen Hall does a nicer tea :-)

also.... nowhere on the guest register will you find the name Roly Gregoire.... just in case anyone wants to try a wind up....

Leaving the convertible at home Bobby!!! :O) .... GNER's finest bringing me up to be picked up at Central Station...

ciao
