Is the team now still training in Chester le' Street? I am coming to Tyneside for leisure and would like to see them training... anyone help to confirm?

Not as far as I am aware. AFAIK, they now train (behind closed doors??) up near Benton/Longbenton. Mind, if you put a track-suit on, you might get a trial.
