Who's going? And Screach, shall I apply for you a ticket?

Hold your horses, let's stick a whole bunch in together and form a proper enclave somewhere. If you stick a letter in with applications outlining clearly where you want to sit and the seating pattern you require, they normally do whatever they can to help (and yes, they do still count your own ID number to show you applied - I sat all round the ground during the Cup run in 1998-1999 but still qualified for a Wembley seat no bother). This won't be a sell-out despite Brentford chartering a plane for 300 fans.

I'll be going on me tod, Softie - if you e-mail me your new address with the cost of the Boro ticket I'll send you another voucher in with checks for both tickets. Cheers

Still skint, spent all my money speculating on wether or not Harry Potter trading cards would be as popular as Pokemon cards, and so far they aren't.

Unless that is someone wants to swap eight Harry Poter trading card booster packs for a Brentford ticket?

i say RIK OUT, ever since he bought 'Potter' things have petered out, or is it pottered out. time for a change i say, what's alston girlie doing in the shop these days? we need new blood in his shop

Will you be admin person on this one, then, Softie? Can you e mail me your address and I'll post my and Screach's voucher plus cheque?

-- Anonymous, August 31, 2001

hang on Rik, only 77 days til the film comes out

-- Anonymous, August 31, 2001

Ping me on my e-mail and I'll send you my address (not sure which one of yours works).

-- Anonymous, August 31, 2001

I wish you luck Softie! Make sure you're sitting doon in case a reply comes back!

-- Anonymous, August 31, 2001

Cheeky get - I sent it about 1.5 minutes ago.

-- Anonymous, August 31, 2001

And about 3 hours later there is still no sign of it. You did it send it to this one, didn't you, it does work, just ask Krist.

-- Anonymous, August 31, 2001

I think I'm going, just hoping the tickets aren't sold out by the time my application arrives :)

-- Anonymous, August 31, 2001

Still no sign of that e-mail Dougal. If anyone wants to sit in a group then contact me for my address via my hotmail account. I need the slips to hit my doormat on Tuesday (tomorrow - we are talking First Class) morning to get them in at lunch time. If you haven't sorted it by then you will need to make your own arrangements.

-- Anonymous, September 03, 2001

Just re-sent Softie.

-- Anonymous, September 03, 2001

Softie - you should have received my voucher this morning.

Please, let me know tonight if you haven't got it and I'll bring another one around to your house.

-- Anonymous, September 03, 2001

Slip received thanks clarky and e-mails too thank you Dougal: I love it when a plan comes together.

-- Anonymous, September 03, 2001

Ain't getting on no plane, Murdoch.

-- Anonymous, September 03, 2001

Crazy fool!

-- Anonymous, September 03, 2001

Softie - I'm trying to get up for the game - if you've one spare let me know.

Ta

Josh email on its way from real address

-- Anonymous, September 03, 2001

I've got all the slips in folks and will take them in later. One of these might be a spare, Josh, but the game won't be a sell-out so you should be able to wait until the day to get a ticket when you're sure. Let us know closer to the Wednesday and I can pop round and get you one then if this one we've got isn't a spare.

-- Anonymous, September 04, 2001

Will do it'll be sorted by the weekend.

-- Anonymous, September 05, 2001

Softie

I'm a definite - is the spare ticket availaable or do I need to get one ?

Josh

-- Anonymous, September 08, 2001

Josh, still not sure if it's spare, but I will go and buy you one if it isn't so you don't have to queue up and miss half the game on wednesday. Much easier for me working in the Toon.

-- Anonymous, September 08, 2001

CHeers - my mum can get up if you can't - I'll be back online tonight or tomorrow - so let me know.

I assume it'll be the Straawberry before the game.

The ticket office clearly employ a bunch of Mackems. A hand delivered clutch of application forms has apparently never arrived. I am going round there to purchase six tickets: Clarky, Dougal, Josh, Pit Bill, Screacher and me. I have still not heard from Jonno so I will not be getting one for him as there will be no chance to sell on if he doesn’t show.

Ecstatic that we applied early to get last choice of seating area. Really sorry for the inconvenience and suggest we don’t bother applying as a group ever again since it is clearly too complicated for these jokers. I had this guy check the “queries pile” twice….queries pile?!?! The f***ing game’s tomorrow and I for one would expect to have received my SAE back by now telling me what’s wrong with my application. Utterly incompetent twats. Somebody seems to have found the request a bit difficult and has thrown the request (with my bank details) in the bin. Raging.

-- Anonymous, September 11, 2001

If it is actually possible - I reckon they're getting worse rather than improving.

Add this lastest fiasco to my experience before the England game, and the misplacing of Dougal's application for 4 tickets for the Smoggie game - and you have to conclude they have finally achieved the ultimate - "World Class Incompetence". Congratulations NUFC - tossers!

-- Anonymous, September 11, 2001

I'm still fuming that the barstewards lost Dougal's application and I missed the Smoggies game. I rarely get to away games and was REALLY looking forward to that one. T*$$ers!

-- Anonymous, September 11, 2001

This has now happened, to my knowledge, three times (Everton away, the Smogs and now). They seem able to manage two tickets together, but any more is beyond them.

-- Anonymous, September 11, 2001

How much are the tickets (SJH stand)?

-- Anonymous, September 11, 2001

OK found the price, £15 adult £ 5 kids.

still too much.

-- Anonymous, September 11, 2001

We have our tickets people, last game before the apocalypse.

-- Anonymous, September 11, 2001

If only NUFC could organise themselves as well as those murdering bastards, eh.

-- Anonymous, September 11, 2001

Where we sitting then Softie ?

-- Anonymous, September 11, 2001

East Stand Pit Bill. Not as good as the seats we would have got put all six are together.

-- Anonymous, September 11, 2001

Many thanks for all your efforts Softie - hopefully we'll still be around tomorrow to go to SJP.

-- Anonymous, September 11, 2001

Suits me Softie. I'd swap the seat I have for one in the E. Stand any day.

Thanks for all your efforts.

Could you manage six of those two pinters before the game or would you rather three before and three after ? :-))

-- Anonymous, September 11, 2001

See you in the Strawberry - anything different give me a bell - Screach has my mobile.

-- Anonymous, September 11, 2001

Howay Billy Pit, it will take aal neet to fill a 2 pt class with Guiness. Better uy him a short or six, eh??

-- Anonymous, September 11, 2001

Actually lads, it'd better be cheques: I had to get the tickets on the joint account in case they "find" the others and send me over my overdraft limit. Honestly, the price you pay to watch NUFC goes way beyond the call of duty. Anyone know a really good reason why a £90 bill should have come from NUFC? Bear in mind that Mrs Softie has not been disabused of the quaint idea that cup tickets are covered by my season ticket.....gulp!

-- Anonymous, September 11, 2001

Tell the truth and shame the devil Softie. You might have to suffer a bit of an earwigging if you tell her but it'll be as nothing if she just finds out.

It's bliddy hard work when they aren't interested. I've lost count of the number of times I've said 'They drew 2-2' or whatever, only to be asked 'Does that mean they'll have to play again ?' Grrrrrrrr, dearling, or words to that effect. :-)

-- Anonymous, September 11, 2001

Would a £90 box of nappies help resolve the problem???

-- Anonymous, September 11, 2001

I'll throw in three stone of my specials if that'll help, Softie. :-))

-- Anonymous, September 11, 2001

Softie, is it £15 each - just so I can write out the cheque now lest I forget it. Also, is everyone still coming?.

-- Anonymous, September 12, 2001

You've already given me a cheque Dougal :-) I'm just too honest for my own financial advancement.

-- Anonymous, September 12, 2001

stick it in the beer kitty Softie!

-- Anonymous, September 12, 2001

I'll be there - in body, but probably not in spirit.

The Journal this morning reckoned Given, Dabz and Rob Lee will be rested tonight, but that AS and LR will play. Barton has a thigh strain and will sit it out. O'Brien will definitely start, and they suggest that Quinn will also play. Gary Caldwell, Olivier Bernard and Jamie McGlen have been brought into the squad, probably to be on the bench.

-- Anonymous, September 12, 2001

I was a bit worried to see that Steve Caldwell was excluded from the squad - are we saving him from being Cup-tied?

-- Anonymous, September 12, 2001

I suspect Steve C. is being punished for mouthing off - ref. the article Buff reported last week. However, it could simply be down to the fact that he was pretty cr@p against Bedlington on Monday.

-- Anonymous, September 12, 2001

Saw a piece about Robert yesterday (on icNowt?) which mentioned he's suffering a 'slight injury' but has been playing on. Might not be a bad idea to rest him tonight and save him for Saturday if that's the case. I just hope we aren't running him into the ground as we have Cort, Shearer, and Dyer.

-- Anonymous, September 12, 2001

S Caldwell is 21 today.
