God what a state the board was in.....loads of dodgy West Ham fans (who were being accused of being Geordies in disguise but their text definitely had a cockney twang to it) slagging them off and just pulling the place down...

I really couldn't help but feel sorry for them....come on then, lets get this place sorted! so that it doesn't go down that road....

So far as the alleged Virus is concered.... By visiting RTG how could your prove that it came from an RTG regular???

Finally, All this bollox about BBS regs not posting on RTG under mad up names is a real laugh as they are esily identifiable by the way they write.

Loads of fibbers on here as many do post on RTG under different names there are at least five from here posting as Hammers fans as we speak... and all have denied that they do it so they are either ignoring your sanctimounious claptrap as well or they are lieing twats...

The best way to find the gems on RTG is to know the posters.... even when some of the threads appear absolutely lame and/or immature if certain individuals are contributing they are worth a look... problem is that it takes time to realise this and figure it out and many are not inclined .... particularly if "one is" a JORDY.

Anyway.... I do understand your frustrations on this BBS but I don't see that as being a unique problem you may see fit to criticise RTG but a lot of its problems are from immature juvenile JORDY'S with nothing better to do.... the same as many of you lot see "us".... There is some quality stuff on RTG and some of it genuinely funny I guess you've just either got to be a mackem or a mag or to appreciate both either a football fan and/or a people fan as well.....

This board is seen by many on RTG as "superior" and "ponitificating" and so far up its own arse that its having its tonsils out....

I don't.... but I can see and understand why some do.....

I've no doubt that you are right about their being lots of good stuff on RTG as well....I was just sympathising that there's bucketloads of crap in the way as well....as you say if you know who to look out for and/or have the time to dig about then it's fine...

This place can seem up it's own arse but I don't believe it is....it's a damn fine group of people (apart from Rik) who would help just about anyone if they could...howay man, we've even tried to make you lot welcome! :))

Can I make a pleas to draw a line under this now? What's gone is gone and we ain't gonna change it. There may be some in the past who are "Greenspun locals" who have been a bit mischievous on RTG, but I believe that in the main, this is no longer the case.

The RTG regulars have blamed MacBeth for events in the past, but all I can say is that since taking on the role as Mr Admin on here, he has performed a superb job (mine's a Broon next time I see yo Mac) and I know ITK's alter ego Stew Canel (which I still rate as one of the best "handles of all time") was a thorn. However, the real ITK on here was as different as chalk is from cheese, witnessed by the very public outcry of grief when he died. Perhaps, just perhaps he was just reacting to the environment he found himself in? I've not visited RTG very often (the last being to announce Ken's death) but on the very few times I visited, I found it not to my taste - and I don't believe that was Mags who caused it.

Roly et al, I wish you luck if you're trying to bring out the better parts of the site. I know from personal experience just how good a fans' BBS can be - that's why we want to try to protect this place, so everybody, can I ask you to respect the wishes of the regulars on here and draw a line under the bickering? Sure, there's a place for rivalry - you never know, we might learn who the Makems are after inthe xfer market and outbid them ;-)

PS. I'm not sure if my Dad's is bigger than your Dad's these days - since he died 23 years ago.
