Bob v Sol

Is BR's objection reasonable to Solano disappearing for inter duty ?

I think it is if Sol did say he wasn't going to play any more internationals.

According to Bobby, he was given a canny pay rise and extended contract on those grounds.

Hoi - haddaway back on yer jolidays ye silly owd bu99er. We discussed this ad infinitum while ye were away.

PS. I agree with you. If he said that, he was rather naughty to go back on his word.

You come up with the finance bonny lad and I'll sort out the bookings.

Sorry, but, the mozzies buzzin round me heed must have short circuited me telepathy faculties. As for looking back over previous threads, there aren't enough hours in the day to catch up on all the back chat. :-)

The mess with Nob and Bob could end up giving Diego Gavilan a chance in the first team, which I'm reasonably sure he'd take with open arms.

The South American teams really rate Gavilan and are surprised that he is stuck in the reserves. I admit that I've only seen him play a few times in the reserves, and although it's been said that playing in the reserves does him no good at all, he still has a pretty canny cross on him, I'm sure given time the service could easily be as good as what Solano provides.

If Gavilan turns out to be a quality first teamer, £10m for Solano and we'd be laughing. Bobby has full control over Gavilan's international appearances.

Anyway, back to the topic, although I can understand Nobby's reasons for going back to Peru - last chance of the World Cup, it's his homeland etc.... if he made an agreement, it's simply not on to go back on it like this. As Screacher said, it was discussed on another thread, but the issue has popped back up again with Nobby going off to play Uruguay (I think) so it is relevant. Bobby is right - if he keeps going out for Peru, put the bugger on the tranfer list, we have backup if we need it.

Right sided players are much easier to find than left sided, and we've got a belter in Laurent Robert.

Aye - I heard he got sent off three times last season, not to mention two yellows this season for dissent as well!
