Ebay: Expensive Aeon Book

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Aeon Flux : One Thread

I wish I could remember when it was, but on Ebay, say 2 years ago??? there was a book of Aoen art put together by Mtv that sold on Ebay for something like $500-700. Is this site the new home of that book? Also, when Aeon Flux was first getting popular outside of Liquid TV, there was a website dedicated to Peter Chung that included some of the best production illustrations available. I had them all, but after a total hard disk crash, ilost everything. Are these images still floating around?

I think the "book" you're probably talking about the original color model sheets from the Main Model Pack. As I understand it, these were the color masters created by Chung and/or the production company for the purpose of detailing what color everything should be. The reason its so expensive is that it was never intended to see the public, so it's a very hot collector's item. As for finding images from it, yeah, there are some out there, but you have to hunt around. I know there are a few at http://www.geocities.com/stateofflux/. I think they may be for sale, but they ain't cheap if they even are for sale.

Actually I think the 'book' is the episode model sheet packs I picked up about 2 years ago on ebay. The color models were a recent acquisition. Also, they are expensive because they are one-off originals and accordingly, rare. I know I keep saying this but I am working on a project where all of the episode model packs will be for sale in book form. It will be worth the wait, they will look remarkable :-)
