God this lot are going to give me such grey hairs! One things for sure...nobody's slacking. Robert is a revelation!! Shola really needs to be rested. He's trying, but too often looks hesitant and lost. Don't think we should risk Shearer. The mackems are trying hard to cripple us. Robert played a gorgeous ball perfectly for Bellamy to run onto and score a gorgeous goal. Acuna needs to get stuck in, he ain't gonna intimidate anyone with his size. Dabs needs to have his trap taped shut. this is after he tried to strangle one of the mackems at the start of the match. He's trying my already limited patience with him. Yep, 2 points lost. We outshot them 15-8, Nobby missed 2 sitters, should have gotten a penalty for Acuna being brought down in the box, McCann should have been sent off for 2yellows, except the ref didn't give him the first yellow for trying to plow through Robert in the first half.

Still....exciting game and fantastic to see us fighting for the entire 90min. Robert had me drooling every time he got the ball and it had nothing to do with his looks! ;-) And Shearer's face while warming up and as he took to the pitch was priceless. Happy enough with the result as we didn't lose, but we really should have won.

Just got back from watching the TV.

We were good for a win, no doubt about it. Everyone had a decent enough game - with perhaps the exception of Nobby who just 'had one of those games'. A few stupid bookings [kicking ball away and dissent] and definite chances to score. Shola was excellent. Bellamy too - their running off the ball and movement was great to see - just wish they could shoot on target. Defence looked okay but jsut that - okay. AGAIN looked dubious on the counter IMHO. Midfield worked hard. A solid performance - but lacked a real cutting edge. A point won and with a bit more luck would've been three. 2 from 2.
