Re: Who has the cheapest domains

greenspun.com : LUSENET : I'd Rather Eat Glass : One Thread

CheapestRegistry.com has the best price I've found for retail domains (no minimum) at $8.75. There are sites where you can buy blocks/credits of 500 domains and may get them a little cheaper but thats a lot of domains.

godaddy is a rip-off, godaddy charges extra for everything, for instance they even charge to transfer the domain to another owner (about $50).

Godaddy registrar sucks. They keep charging my credit card for domains that have been transfered away from them. Biggest mistake I ever made was falling for the godaddy scam. Buyer beware. Godaddy sucks.

I did a whois at godaddy and now they registered it to them. damn that is cheap. EasyDNS is very, very nice.

Godaddy has blocked half of the world. They offer their services to only USA and Canada and GUESS what, they are all fed up with it. DONT TRUST GODADDY. IT SUCKS !!! COMPANY SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN

Go Daddy is a MAJOR rip-off. Someone infiltrated their system and got one of our registered domains and registered it to them. I was online when the confirmation email came in. Go daddy REFUSED to stop the transfer trying to absolve themselves of responsibility and accusing our company of giving out the password. Why a bunch of scummy sons-of-bitches. I now register at www.genendo.ws works great for me. Pass the word so Go Daddy goes out of business. They are SCUM!!! Don't use them for anything you WILL be sorry!!!

what ever you do, stay the hell away from godaddy

They have so many script errors and secure server issues it's a wonder they can even stay in business.

I am looking for a new registrar now, so if you know of someone good, pass it on.
