Just read it on football.com. His agent says that Distin favours a move to NUFC instead of Bolton, much because of his mate Robert. The stumbling block seems to be the transfer- fee. I know nothing about this lad. Does anyone have any information?

I know he's a centre half and that is all. Not that we don't need a new mid fielder or possibly another striker or anything.

What message does the Distin thing give to Hughes, Caldwell, o Brien. Mind you - if we sign him to replace Nicos, then it can't be all bad.
