Answers

Nothing mysterious here, just too busy. We're doing the occasional lurk. As I mentioned on a few threads before we disappeared, Kim's dad has been having problems with his diabetes. It got worse with him losing his driving privilege (blacked out and wrecked 2 cars in 2 weeks, the latter with our kids in the car!). Anyway, he won't give up his independence, so until things either get better or worse we're playing nursemaid and chauffeur. He has a new (we think better) doctor now, but the long term prognosis is unclear.

Time constraints forced us to give up on the garden and farmer's market a few weeks ago, and we have even lost animals through neglect - a first for us that made us feel really bad. We've had company staying too, so have been totally swamped. Hopefully with the kids back in school now things will lighten up. We have been doing a pretty good job keeping up with the canning, freezing etc., but a lousy job with saving seeds.

Anyway, thanks for thinking of us. We'll be back when we can!
