Delayed highlights

Finally had a chance to watch my tape of the BBC America highlights show of last weekend's match. They only showed the goals from our match, so I can't comment on overall play. While Shay's blunder was ever bit as ridiculous as it sounded, that save he made a few minutes later was amazing. Cancels out the blunder for me. Another positive is Acuna's goal. Had to watch that part again as I was shocked to see our player's actually running into the box to capitalize on any potential keeper error. Acuna appears to have shed that unnatural fear of the goal that so pervades our team. I'd like to see him getting more starts in place of Lee or Speed.

BTW, amd I the only one who wishes we'd held onto Saha?

Btw, btw....whoever it was that mentioned Beckham's boots making him look like a fairy(or something like that)...you're right. Looks like an elderly American tourist. White sneaks w/black socks, all he needs are the bright green polyester pants. ;-)

No. I wish we'd held on to Saha as well. Gullit didn't want him - typical!

What did you think of Barton? How can he play so well and then so badly on Tuesday? He was in the Chronicle saying he was upset at being booed. I felt sorry for him. Felt more sorry for us supporters though.

I don't remember any of us being too impressed with Saha at the time so it's a bit unfair to blame Gullit for that....in of his shin at Blackburn was about the best I remember :))

That's the way
Saha Saha
I like it ...

I seem to recall that Gullit wanted Saha, but that after the loan the price was £2 million. FS said he wanted him on loan again as his broken jaw had limited his number of appearances.
