Answers

This is a very, very cool shot, with lots of action and emotion. It shows how one does not need a single simple subject in every image. The intensity of the girl in the foreground is amazing.

It does have the look of obvious burning in the sky though, and I'm wondering if that's what you did or if it is just a scanning issue. The woman running the show (if that's what she's doing) looks like she got darkened along with the sky.

Jeff.. I thinks it's more of a scanning issue than a printing issue. The sky wasn't burnt. The woman's face was burnt a bit to try to get a little more detail. Maybe too much.

Oh yeah, thanks for the kind words. By the way, the "Angel" woman woman was holding a long bamboo stick with the star attached. She was bobbing it in front of the kids "fishing" for wishes.

Really nice shot, David. Great energy captured here. I grabbed my mmonitor and slanted it a bit in the direction of the diagonal lines (too lazy today to open Photoshop, I guess) and think a slight lean in the composition would have been cool here too. Either way, a really nice shot that captures the energy, motion, and emotion. The print must be lovely.

I really like the little girl and her star which to me implies a fairy princess.. and there she is, right behind and above!

Hey- another winner David, just perfect. Falcon Ridge is a great photo op! I went for the Friday this year & drove back to Boston that night. I'll post some shots I took too.... This thing is in the hills between the Berkshires and the Hudson River in upstate NY... Hung out with a duo I know from Seattle, we cooled our heels at the huge dance tent- they commented "I haven't seen so may just plain happy people in a while..."
