Response to Contax T3 - User Comments, Discussion (PART 2)

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Camera Equipment : One Thread

I've been trying to follow this thread from the beginning as I toy with the idea of buying a T3. I'm wondering how there can be so much confusion regarding the technical aspects of a camera. Are the computers in this little beast beyond comprehension? Doesn't Contax publish a manual?

Peter,

Yes, there is manual for the T3 and it's pretty comprehensive compared to some other Contax manuals, the G1/G2 manuals in particular.

I wouldn't be too concerned about the technical inner workings of the T3. Some users get overly obsessive about every detail engineered into the camera and want to know exactly what happens in each and every mode. Maybe it's "new owner anxiety." P&S cameras are meant to enjoy, so relax and have fun with it; you will be amply rewarded with fine images when you use good film and good techniques.
