What can we do!

I'm so sad, I don't know what we can do, I don't just want to sit here and chat tho. and pretend that nothing has happened. We have hurt ones here.

And I also worry because Sharon isn't here, and I am the one that got mad at her, for no reason, except I'm phyco. All she told me was to "go on", and I acted like she told me to go jump off the brige, I couldn't see that then. I'm sorry.

Well we are all different people with different ways of seeing and expressing. But I betcha we all believe in prayer, or the joining of hands or focused thoughts, what ever we want to call it, we know that it works, and I think that we should do some of it.

I read in a Native American newspaper about a medicine man who fondled a young boy in the night, the boy fought and got help. This is a very sad thing to have happened. A medicine man would be like a prist, very sad. But the part that I liked was that the next day the tribe had a Healing Service, for the boy. They purified him, lovingly washing him with precious healing oils.

Isn't that what we need when damaging things happen to us. A healing service. What if we pick a time and all say prayers, thinking loving positive thoughts of our little forum, and all the precious people who make it up, picturing those who are hurt soothed with heanling oils? Each one of us is unique and valuable.

Love TRen

Sounds like a good idea to me. But rather than have an appointed time or such , just each of us do it our own way in our own time. That seems fitting since we are a hallmark of diversity! :-) Anyone game?

I think I'm pretty much "afraid" to post anything. I think I could write: "the quick brown fox jumped over the lazy dog," and someone might interpret it as something other than a typing exercise!

Just a thought...We all have different styles of writing. I have told a couple of my online friends that I have spent the last 25 years of my life TONING DOWN my speech/writing. I used to be searingly sarcastic and provocative in my earlier years. (survival requirement.) I now make serious attempts to be reasonable and calm in my communications, although occasionally my old self comes through (perhaps my confrontational position for the "second class" thread.)

In real life, most of us hang around with people more or less like ourselves. My closest friends pretty much talk the way I do and they usually understand me. I get used to them being able to tell if I am being sarcastic...they can see the arched brow or the wink, or the wry sound to my voice. I can tell their attitude the same way. Since they know me pretty well, they could probably get the same inferences from a written note, but even then, I wouldn't bet on it. Nor would I bet that I would always catch their intention.

It seems possible that folks here would not necessarily be able to read between my lines, nor I theirs. Or others'. I would say that indeed, this is sometimes a tough medium within which to communicate. We can decide to not discuss anything that is controversial, but then how do we know ahead of time? Do we have to leave politics and religion off of this forum too? I just don't know.

I'm going to sit back and think about that for a while.

I'll join you in thoughts for peace and healing.

Oh Sheepish, Your typing exercise made me laugh.

I really think you are on to something there, Thats what a big part of it is! We do tend to group with people who speak the same lanquage that we do! And here we are speaking with people who have different ways of relating then we do! If we were all in a big cafeteria together we would group up with like talking and self-expressing people.
