Where did you get your stock pots?

Are yours Stainless? Aluminum? Other? (what) I just found what I think is a deal. 5 Stainless Steel Stock Pots (8qt-12qt-16qt-20qt & 22qt) for $30 bucks. My wife has been after me to get her several more. I think I will surprise her this afternoon with this set.

What are your experiences with stock pots? Pricing?

We only have one stainless steel pot and we don't like to use aluminum. The one we use most is a big enameled steel pot. We've used it for everything from soup, canning, collecting rainwater, snow, dishwasher, picking basket and for making...stock(of course). I think we only spent about $12.00 for it. Its one of only a very few things that I've ever found really, really useful at wallyworld.

That does sound like a really good price for that variety to me. Especially for SS. Can you share where you found your deal?

Sportsman's Guide?....I got mine from them and they are GREAT! I also have a set of smaller day to day pots. I cook in only stainless steel or cast iron. Don't need any help with Alzheimer's, and I've done a good enough job polluting my body;}. Thay also make nice drums....

Our locale "DOLLAR GENERAL" The pots have lids, well made one piece design, I'd call them medium duty the bottoms are fairly nice,

I went to get the 5 -pc set but they had already sold out of the 22qt. So I picked up a 4-pc 8-12-16-20qt for $24.45. I think I may wait till Christmas to give them to her. I went ahead and got her an extra 8-qt and she really likes it.

Sportsman's Guide, great source for all kinds of things. We also only use SS and cast iron.

William

I just got my new Sportsman Guide catalog. It had the "Did we do something wrong" on the front page. Guess what? I sent him a letter telling him my opinion. Wonder if I'll get a reply?
