Last night I saw a documentary on him, and although I knew he was from Newcastle, didn't know he was a supporter.. has anyone ever seen him at SJP? BTW nightmare thought...he doesn't support the mackems does he?

The few people interviewed says he comes round to the pub but acts skint, never carries any dosh...anyone ever bought him a drink?

George, I used to see you in Manchester pubs. You'd clock anybody when you're p!$$ed.

Sting went to St.Cuthbert's Grammar, in Newcastle, with mesel and our resident Mountie (Pete in C.).

Sting definitely supports the Toon, I've met a couple of times ower the years!

Sting bought me and my mates a round in a pub in Hampstead in 1988, stood at the bar he said he rocognised my accent and got chatting. Nice bloke and he had cash with him!!

He used to live on Station Road in Wallsend according to my mam.

He was an obnoxious barsteward when I met him just before his first solo album came out. Had his manager call an editor at the magazine at which I worked and reamed her out for telling me about a surprise show(to which she'd been invited, but sent me in her place) he was doing at a tiny (and open to the public!!) jazz club in NYC. Great show as he sat in with a jazz ensemble and wasn't being "Sting" at all, but he seemed to take offence at anyone outside his cliquey inner circle simply saying hello and thanks for an enjoyable show. Tosser!

How man . If anyone is accusing me of having a cliquey inner circle and calling me a tosser , then they can do it to me face :-) Personally like i think im a canny blerk and I never miss a Toon match whether im in New York , Weshington , Sydney or wherever . I think me TV performance at Villa Park last year speaks for itself . Jazz pah and Ciara ... Dont stand so close to me ;-)
