Laighe started a discussion in the post-it note section of our communityzero.com boards community that really is of vital importance. Discussion will take place there -- instructions on how to join that community message board is at the end of this message.

Here's the skinny:

As of late evening, August 20, 2001, Excite@Home announced they will probably close before end of 2001. And will lay off 200 more people this month. This may mean the end of VP chat now, or very soon.

There are no other VP chats being run right now.

We need to discuss what we're going to do. And now!!

Go at it, people. I know we all have ideas. Let's figure out a way to do this! I have sent out this first post in the discussion as email to members of the Community Zero boards & have started a discussion thread there.

If you know of Exilers who haven't found the boards, please email them and tell them what's going on and to join in on the discussion here.

You must "sign up" for Community Zero, then you can "join" the Exile community there with the password "buddha" (all lowercase, NO quotation marks!). From then on, you can log in as usual with your chosen Community Zero username & personal password.
