Did anyone see the coca-cola ad (I think) on itv during 'The premiership' about the newcastle lad going to his first match? Sent shivers down me spine when they showed the view of the new stands from inside. Does St James really look like that??

Sadly no Michael - there's only the one stand and the rest is done by mirrors. :-) When was the last time you saw it? Every single bit of it has changed since I first saw the place in 1962.

Oh thats a difficult one, probably 1996 was the last time. The last time I was there, they had just finished the whole circle as it were. I remember thinking that the stadium looked huge on the outside but appeared to be quite small (looking) on the inside. I guess it was because I was used to open spaces of the leazes end etc. Pity the ad is not like the real thing, I thought as much as the ad was too sharp i.e it looked like a computer generation!!

It's a good ad, and the picture from inside shows the best bit of the stadium which is the new bit that the cameras are located in. So everytime you see a game you just see the small East stand. Perhaps they should relocate the cameras to the other side of the ground.
