Well after a season of heartbreak and long journeys last year the new season for me will be watched from the other side of the world. Still trying to recreate the match atmosphere and build up is tantamount . And so the local Geordie lads and lasses of Sydney approached the opening match of the season with trepidation . The mock Strawberry was recreated at wor hoose in Bronte with the Clique attendees , Tynedale Man and Lady Tynedale forwarding any motions , Nick raphale and Claire 'Pompey' Raphael seconding . The commitee of Muzzainoz , Andy , Abbey , Sting , Jase and Lincolnshire Lass pontificating the all new FOX sports live presentations . After a few Bottles of Dog ( small size ) and TM's crate of low calorie Tooheys ( rumours abound of diets and weight loss programmes abound ) the Likely Lads and Lasses made their way to the East Leagues Sports Bar to watch the Toon . As usual like a set of bar codes other Geordies infiltrated the Clique ( how dare they ;-) ) and the scene was set for the 11pm kick off . A small contingent of Irish ( arent they all manure fans ) Chelsea fans upset the applecart when Given spilled his beans , but the shoe was on the other foot when the commentary team of Raphael , muzza and Sting conspired to predict the events of the equalising goal . A canny few more were sunk post match with the suspects getting home at 4 am Monday morning . Why do i get the feeling this wont be the first or the last time thats gonna happen this season :-) As i've said before Geordies here , geordies there , geordies every fu(kin where .. and not a mackem in sight or earshot , bliss , roll on next Sundy for the 1 am kick off .. zzzzzzzzz :-))
