Spooky!!!

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Unofficial Newcastle United Football Club BBS : One Thread

OK, I know I have my moments of madness, but what has happened to the thread I was just posting on? There was I merrily posting a reply to Lynda about the quality of the commentary on Sky PPV...click the submit button...and get some message accusing me of hacking the system!

Do they realise who they are talking too?! I can`t hack the end off a loaf of bread without drawing blood! Somebody tell me I`m not going daft. (:o(

Glad to oblige Gal - you're going daft!

False accusations? Doesn't it just hack you off?

Right, sorry, couldn't resist, I'll just be going now. :-)

LOL!(:o)

OK - I`ll try again! The commentary on PPV was rubbish......

Ah......good, it`s still there!

I also happened to mention the new Nike ad which I think is another stunning piece of work.(:o)

I get to answer you eventually! The commentary was appalling and the Nike ad was classy.

Maybe this isn't the right thread, but I wasn't too upset with the commentary. Both commentators had some good things to say about the Toon and were scathing about some of D'Urso's decisions e.g. the booking of Robert - not because he was booked for dissent, but because it was never a foul in the first place so no wonder he was upset. I thought they were more than fair to us - yes, even Marwood.

George Graham was the one who was getting on my t!t. Anything good he said about us had to be dragged from him by the presenter. Let's face it he's a born-again Cockney! Probably hoping to take over from Ranieri at the end of the season if/when Chelsea win nowt.

Hi Pilgrim.....it was more the banging on re; our record in London. I know it was true, but it was getting on my nerves! Totally agree with you about George Graham....he is creeping up my list of top ten dislikeables - Rodney Marsh is still miles out in front though!(:o)

Should classy ads encourage us to buy Nike products when we should all be boycotting the worst employers on the planet? If Alan Shearer himself came and gave me a free pair of signed Nike trainers I chuck 'em on the nearest tip.

Very good point Jacko. Have to say that from the ethical angle, yes, they should be boycotted and, no I wouldn`t buy a pair of Nikes. Mind you, in the same break there was a very enjoyable ad for a fizzy drink which rots your teeth, and probably a beer which may encourage some men to get drunk, go home, kick the cat and beat their wives!(;o)

I was really just taken by the artistic merit of the advert and the clever footie skills.(:o)
