Bobby was on ESPN on Saturday night before the Liverpool game and when asked about the Fowler situation said "I am not allowed to say this on TV but I will - if I had the chance I would buy Fowler...." He also said he reckoned Fowler was just about the best striker in Britain.

In an interview with Chelsea's Colin Hutchinson yesterday he said Chelsea had agreed a transfer for Fowler last December but that Liverpool had pulled out at the last moment.
