Question for Leazes Enders..

Do you lot give away goalies a huge welcome? I'd say 9 out 10 away goalies get a huge round of applause from the Gallowgate. That Bilbao goalie deserved it, though.

Aye - a great resounding "Dodgy Keeper" :-)

In fairness, they generally get a canny reception. Well, most of them!

Never noticed it. Usually applaud returning players so Shaka and Pavel got big rounds followed by "Dodgy keeper!" chants. Flowers applauded us on his way towards goal so he got acknowledgement on and off the field. Usually too busy working out how our useless midfield has been reshuffled each week and then locating the danger men in the opposition who will be taking the piss all afternoon, so I may just have failed to notice.

I'm with Softie on this. I will pay more attention this season. Probably...

Gone are the days of the old warm applause followed by "Wanker!!" & gesticulation. I seem to remember David Seamen at QPR (when Gazza was sent off for being headlocked by Paul Parker) made the most of milking the applause almost conducted the lads to start the "wanker" shouts thereafter - very funny of spunky.

Game - Newcastle v Wimbledon

Keeper - One Vinnie Jones

Reception and response - Classic!!

That Wimbledon game was a classic, Vinny Jones in goal was the most unique form of entertainment I've ever seen at a Newcastle game.

Fnarr Fnarr, woof woof coo coo etc. No sorry, QPR fans at the time called hime spunky and I couldn't milk it enough. I doubt you'd swallow it if I told you the Finbar Saunders were on purpose.

...no chance Dave, I'm a spitter! ;-)
