Welcome! Some basics about using this forum.

Welcome aboard!

One of the reasons I started this board is because it can function almost like a chatroom, because your posts appear immediately after you click the "submit" button.

Another reason is the need -- by some -- for absolute discretion in discussing personal weaknesses. The good news about this board is that it will allow you to create an anonymous screen name when you post. No one ever need know who you are. HOWEVER, if you decide to use a "fake" email address, please do not put ".com" or "org" or "net" or any of the other legitimate suffixes at the end. This might create unwanted mail for someone in the Web universe, and I'm sure you don't want to give them that kind of headache.

If you're not sure what to post, how about giving me a suggestion about what to put in the "about" section, for people who may just meander in, looking for help?

Don't be shy, pick a screen name and email address and type!

One more thing: If you'd like to take a "test drive" first, I recommend visiting the following board to see how things look. I've never hung out there, but it seems to be a pleasant enough place, and for any one of us who ever dreamed of living in the country, it would be a good place to post your question.

If you're really brave, however, and want an immediate response, head on over to Unk's Wild, Wild West, where you're likely to get an immediate response, especially if you post anything that has to do with politics (might want to make sure you're wearing a flak jacket, though).

Enjoy and Best Wishes!

Just for fun, I'm responding to my own message, to see how long it takes to show up. Here goes!

As usual, the technology at this site is wonderful. Hasn't changed at all from the last time I checked in.

About ten seconds after you post -- voila -- your answer appears. You'll see it by clicking your "back" button on your browser to the forum's main page.

Whoops! An error in my last post. Actually, you hit your browser's "back" button until you come to the screen to which you posted your response. Then hit reload. Your answer will be there.
