I'm looking for a good on-line resource pertaining to the history of banks and financial institutions in San Francisco. I'm especially interested in banks that no longer exist like Hibernia and such. Any help is sincerely appreciated.

This company seems to have been involved in setting up the original bank. You might contact them -- a lot of businesses put out privately printed books on their histories.

A search of "hibernia bank" including "san francisco" gets page after page of hits: first appearing are photos of the Hiberania wreckage in the 1906 Earthquake and Fire; second appearing are articles about Patty Hearst.
