Am I a Record Breaker?

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Unofficial Newcastle United Football Club BBS : One Thread

I've been trying to ring the Ticket Office for over 3 hours now without success. Can anyone beat this?

Sorry to keep moaning MacBeth but I think this should be another item for your next agenda.

You need dedication to be a record breaker, Dave. You know that. That and a trumpet.

Actually, I was a bit worried about you this morning. Heard on the news a cyclist was involved in a confrontation with a motorist in London (sound familiar?). The motorist won the argy by producing a gun. He got knicked down the road mind.

Try boxoffice@nufc.co.uk you'll be amazed at the response

The ticketing issue is our number one item to discuss. A couple of us stood listening to people inthe queue before the 1860 game picking up on moans as evidence

Cheers macbeth. It strikes me that the club is geared entirely to dealing with the 10000 or so tickets that have to be shifted on top of the 40000 ST's, any situation other than that and they're buggered (Cup games, testimonials etc.). I actually need to get hold of someone because they've screwed up big style on my Chelsea application.

Kats I think it was more like 3 days solid we both tried for the Lokeren match....

DSS, They screwed you badly for Chewsea? no chance of that possible spare now then?

Gav, I emailed you the following this moning:

The worst news I'm afraid Gav - SOME of our tickets arrived this morning - as bloody usual the club have screwed up and instead of sending 12 have sent 10 plus a 'Juvenile' ticket ! , so as it stands there isn't going to be one spare. I've been ringing the ticket office solidly since I got in this morning but it's constantly engaged. One of the Londonmags was selling a spare and I emailed him straightaway on your behalf but I've not heard back - I'll keep trying and let you know how I get on.

Working in telecoms I am always gobsmacked by how they do telephone purchasing. It may though be a deliberate bottlekneck but I'd love to know. Technology now could easily mean you don't even have to speak to anyone. Anyway, should be done properly, bloody theatres do it better than this lot. Can you buy tickets on line for instance? Don't think so...

Cheers DSS, i appreciate your efforts...let me know if any turn up...

DSS, if you're stuffed, drop me a line to the email address below (but start a new thread here to remind me!!) and I'll see if I can call round there tomorrow. Maybe a telno where they can call yo would also be useful.

The box office e-mail address works wonders. Was quite surprised by the response for an off-the-cuff application for some Intertoto tickets after trying unsuccessfully on the phone for a couple of hours. Received an e-mail the next morning timed as sent about 7pm with a salacious greeting and the good news, FOLLOWED by a personal unsolicited phone call from the box office at about 10 am to ensure everything was in order. No complaints here, well done to NUFC for wonderful service.
