It's depressing up hereIn '98 number one nationwide in suicides per 100,000 people was Alaska's Cook Inlet region, shows AK Vital Statistic's data. Alaska also topped the nation in '98 with 23.7 people per 100,000 killing themselves (according to AK Vital Statistics) while Nevada with 22.7 placed second.
