Most of you probably already know this, but I thought I'd post it FYI anyway. Several threads ago, we discussed the possibility of a meeting place, and this one might do... (?)

Given the (lack of) response so far, I think it's safe to say that Richard and I will be the sole representation of LUSENET at this conference. But what the hey, maybe we'll get some great shots of the Alamo under moonlight! (Full moon October 2nd if I read my calendar correctly...) Think of that Tony, the Alamo at f1.0 lit only by the moon... COOL! :-) Anyway, I sure hope more of you can figure out a way to make it.

I think I'd take the drive down for a day or two, but not four days! It would be fun to meet the Leica-lovers and to shoot a few rolls down in San Antonio. Early October is a nice time of year in Texas.

What do they do at a LHSA meeting anyways, I thought we had it all pretty well covered here on LUSENET :-)

I used to go to the Leica Postal Portfolio meetings in the UK, but I am not sure I really enjoyed them - although you meet a lot of Leicaphiles, it is all a bit much. Endless bickering and carping over which lens/camera is best. Leica obsession taken to extremes. Although I did make some friends, I am not sure I enjoyed being part of such clique - this usenet group is best as we are only virtual. I suspect that the LSHA is much the same. Still, those who do go please let us all know how it was!
