Bl. Otto Neururer [Austrian, died at Buchenwald 1940, first priest killed in a concentration camp]
Bl. Jakob Gapp [Austrian martyred by Nazis, 1943]
Bl. John of Alvernia [Franciscan, d. 1322]
St. Maximus the Confessor [d. 662]
St. Murtagh (aka Meredith) [hermit, disciple of St. Patrick]
St. Nerses Glaietsi [Armenian bishop, d. 1173]

We also honor, in a special way, the following friends of God -- saints whose souls are now in heaven:

Pope St. Pontian and St. Hippolytus (Roman, pontiff [elected in 230, abdicated in 235] and priest [theologian and repentant antipope], exiled to Sardinian salt mines, martyred [abusive treatment] in 235)
St. Benildus [baptized Pierre Romancon] (French, member of De La Salle brothers, teacher for over 50 years, d. 1862 [canonized 1967])
St. Concordia (early martyr)
Bl. Gertrude of Altenberg (German, daughter of St. Elizabeth of Hungary, Norbertine abbess for 50 years, d. 1297)
St. Helen (Spanish, martyred c. 304)
St. Herulph (German, nobleman, Benedictine abbot, bishop in France, d. 785)
Bl. Otto Neururer (Austrian, peasant, parish priest, tortured and martyred [hanged upside down] at Buchenwald in 1940 [first priest killed in a Nazi concentration camp] [beatified 1996])
