use of leica cf flash on m6ttl

Has anyone used a leica minilux zoom cf flash on an m6 ttl. I presume the ttl feature will not work since the coupling contacts are different. The flash does fire but I wonder with what results (act like a built in flash on a point and shoot??) The idea appeals to me since the cf flash is so compact and might be useful as a limited fill flash device. Any opinions/experiences?

I haven't used the Minilux Zoom flash with my M6TTL. The small size is nice, but it isn't that much smaller than the SF20 flash unit, and with the SF20 you get all the functionality of the M6TTL. Especially for fill flash, the SF20 works beautfullly!

The CF flash is not TTL compatible with the M6TTL. It will work as an auto-flash. It, the Konica Hexar RF flash, and the Olympus S20 are exact clones, except that the Olympus has no dedication and costs only $50. That is the small flash I use nowadays with the M6 (non- TTL), replacing my venerable Vivitar 253's which are also superb little units. If I owned an M6TTL (which I hope never to need to)it would ostensibly be *only* because I wanted the TTL feature, in which case the SF20 or a Metz 32Z2+module would be the flashes of choice.

I bought a CF flash in Germany and use it with my Pre-TTL M6. It's great...compact, accurate, covers 35MM focal length lens field and amazingly powerful. I don't know why Leica doesn't market their use with cameras other than the Minilux. George Doolit
