Dead MV part II

greenspun.com : LUSENET : MV Agusta F4 : One Thread

I got my MV back in April and haven't had any problems since. I'm not a hard rider (never had the revs over 10grand) and have done all the scheduled maintence. Just had my bike in for the 6000 mile.

Anyway I was also just rinding on the highway and the bike just died. I thought maybe I was out of gas but the fuel warning had just come on about 3 miles before. Got a friend to bring out gas but the bike won't turn over. HAve power and the instruments work but the bike won't start. where can i get info about the hose clamp thing?

I thought that my situation was isolated to a local dealer. Apparently a hose from the fuel pump inside the tank came loose, via the wrong hose clamp. I'm sure your dealer can quickly assess if this is the same problem.

Thanks a lot. I finally got my MV back to the shop and it was indeed the clamp on the hose connecting the tank and fuel pump that was causing the problems. I pick my bike up tomorrow!!!!
