T - what were you doing in Starksville?

Hello!

Berman is mysteriously absent from the airwaves, so I think he's off, or something.

T went to Starkville to move one of her sisters into an apt, I believe.

I helped Jane move into her apartment - my mom couldn't because she's been helping Susan get her stuff together for the dorm - she's moving in tomorrow, I think, in time for rush.

I'm giggling thinking uf us dressed as tubas.

That was nice of you to help Jane. Why didn't she and Susan just go at the same time?

Jane had to be at the Chi O house a 9 a.m. Tuesday, but Susan couldn't move into the dorm until this weekend.

PRAISES!!!

Y'all. After weeks of trying, we have our plane tickets for Hawaii. See, what I had did was, I had put a hold on our flights. I had two weeks to confirm those tickets. I mixed my calendar up and waited one day too long, and I lost the hold on the Delta tickets. I was so, so upset. At that point, Delta could get us to Hawaii, but they couldn't get us back. I was on the wait list, and I called Delta so many times I know they have red-flagged my Slymiles number.

Well. You can also use your Skymiles for United, and PRAISES, we were FINALLY able to get on a United flight for New Orleans --> Honolulu --> New Orleans. We leave at 8 a.m. Monday morning (giving us a day to do NOTHING after the wedding and we return on TUesday afternoon, a week later. (That Friday, we have to go to New York for Chris' best man's wedding).

Y'all have no idea how relieved I am that we have these reservations. I was so worried that I had ruined the honeymoon.

The LORD was on your side. Oh, that Sunday will be so wonderful. Champagne brunch?

Y'all, my mother is so crazy. She's a pain in the ass, but I have to love her anyway BECAUSE, she is writing a column for the Birminghamster about the John Lee Hooker song below. It was among the first songs I ever learned, and should go a long way in explaining why I am so fucked up. I hope I can set the line breaks right.

Process

by John Lee Hooker

I don't want no woman, crazy 'bout a process head

I don't want no woman, crazy 'bout a process head

She a process head, it's almost simple head

Ain't got no money, only got a hair-do fare

Ain't got no money, only got a hair-do fare

Ain't got a dime, enough to your hair did right

Been a fool one time, crazy over process head

Been a fool one time, crazy over process head

That no-good woman, almost drove me insane

Have mercy she begged

Lord, have mercy, on this processing fool

Lord, have mercy, on, on this processing fool

She won't have a process head, she's seen

walking up and down the street

Have mercy, have mercy, with a processing fool

(A process-head is a black person who has had their hair "processed," or done up fancy. Y'all. Hair-do fare.)

For my birthday, I plan on asking Chris for hair do fare.

Okay, I'm going to the Container Store. I put on my cute black pants (that still fit, Al...) so as to impress them. Cross yo' fingers.

Do it, AB. You'll rock.

Oh my God. It moved! Allison, it's all boarded up! They moved it to Ft. Worth.

Clazy things are happening to greenspun!

-- Anonymous, August 09, 2001

The answers are all freaky.

I just drove from one end of Cobb County to the other trying to figure out where to register my damn car. No fun.

AB, I'm seriously considering substitute teaching until I can find a job that I really, really love. The pay isn't all that, but there's flexibility, for sure.

I picked up an application for that the other day, T. It's not bad--$85 a day w/a degree--as long as you don't get killed by crazy high school gang members.

I'm out, babies--we're about to leave for Funroe. I'll try to check in tomorrow! Rove!
