New Interview with Lolo (excuse translation)

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Unofficial Newcastle United Football Club BBS : One Thread

1. How are you settling in at Newcastle? I have been in Montpellier for a few days and got back to Newcastle yesterday. We are staying in a hotel but we are looking at houses thsi afternoon. I was training with the players who weren't in the Intertoto game this morning and we'll all be training tomorrow. It was raining today so we trained indoors, doing weights and so on. 2. In terms of infrastructure, how are you finding it? I don't really know yet because I haven't even seen the training pitches but the indoor facilities are impressive, really brilliant: there's a weights room, tennis courts etc. It's all better than in Paris. 3. What were your impressions of NUFC during the 1860 Munich game? I was really impressed - I was presented before kick-off and there was a wonderful atmosphere and for the full 90 minutes they were encouraging the team and cheering unlike in France where all you get are occasional whistles. It was really nice. 4. What did you make of the team? Alan Shearer is still injured but even without him, there were some good aspects of the team. Once the injured players are back, it looks like we could be a really good side. From my point of view, I'm looking forward to playing my first game in a black and white shirt against Athetic Bilbao on Saturday. 5. Have you met the other players yet? No, apart from Alan Shearer who I saw for a few minutes this morning. I'll be meeting them all tomorrow. 6. What squad numb er have you got? The squad numbers had already been given out so I chose number 32. 7. How will you be played? On the left wing but I need to tlak more with Bobby Robson to get more information. 8. How are you feeling physically? I've been training while in Montpellier and did pre-season training with PSG so I feel fine. 9. Did you watch the 0-0 draw with Troyes? No, because it wasn't broadcast but a 0-0 draw is a really good result. I hope the team beats Troyes in the home leg and we go into the UEFA. 10. Otherwise, everything's OK? Yes, I'm with my family and Newcastle is a student town with plenty happening. Once we are settled in, everything will be great.
