Hi all,

Today i tried making my very first SVCD using iAuthor. Using iAuthor wasnt a problem since i followed the simple step by step guide at VCDHELP.COM. However the problem im having is getting the dam SVCD to burn properply. I have successfully created the cif* image file which i then load into nero. Nero shows me a 'Foriegn image settings'(block size,type of image, raw data,...) dialouge box which i have never seen before. After that when i click on ok another dialouge box comes and says 'the eneterd block size does not correspond.......'. Can someone please tell me the right way in burning these SVCDS. I tried Adaptec but that piece of bull did not recognise my recorder. Thanks

I can help a little. Nero won't work at all with CIF files. Adaptec works, but only versions 4.X. You supposedly can use another program to turn I-Author CIF files into something EZ CD Creator 5.X can deal with, but I don't know what it's called. Try this - go to www.roxio.com and look for updates to EZ CD Creator. If you are lucky, you can get an update to verion 4 that will work with your burner. I had the same problem, but when I updated to the most recent version 4 of EZ CD Creator, it knew how to work with my burner. I admire you for trying to use Nero, but CIF is a proprietary image format that only Adaptec supports and Nero will never be able to burn it.

Hi, I am dealing with SVCD and that I want a company that I come become one of theeir regular customers who wishes to buy thier products in hihg quantities, but their is a little broblem that we got here about the picture board of that VCD and the rins so we need assistance from any company that knows whom/which company that can supply us this product. Here in Nigeria the Video CD is one of the best products that the Nigerian need, but the little problem we have is about the picture board. We beleive that you will be able to enlighting us more and giving us the name(s) of thee company that we can transact business with both new and old or store reject.

Don't be annoyed that it is not what you listed above here is what we are requesting from you it is due to some difficulties in getting contacts with relevant company that can supply us our needs.And if the company can give us the price list of the new Video CD and the old ones/storage rejec, we need thee prices and the catalogues.

FYI - CIF files are the same thing as ISO files. Just rename and burn away.

IMHO - anything Acrapdec makes really sucks. I *hate* the (anything but)EZ CD Creator. I personally use CDRWin or Fireburner and have never had a problem with either!

BTW - Fireburner can fix the block size on the fly - so if you really need a hand, try that.
