Webcast the morra or what?....................greenspun.com : LUSENET : Unofficial Newcastle United Football Club BBS : One Thread |
Seems like everyone on here has been busy over the weekend. It's taken me the first hour at work reading what's been going on. A few questions need to be answered though. Is Paul Murray hurt down at soton? Who/What is this new makem lurker in the midst? Soops good to see ye contributing to the threads sans abuse. Is there a webcast tomorrow, if so , what time? Mark (of the NZ thread) good to have ye on board.

Read over at .COM that the game might be on Eurosport. If so I'll watch it on the telly, otherwise I of course join the webcast.

2pm (BST) kick off. Unfortunately I won't be able to listen (can't wait until they install all the computers and T3 lines at work!!), so will have to read the matchday thread when I get home. Unless I can get our web designer to bring up this page for me when the boss isn't looking. ;-))

Not helpful to you lot (or even to those of us in the N.E.) but Radio Newcastle are covering it...

What, is it in the afternoon? 3 pm CET?
-- Anonymous, August 06, 2001
What is CET Sudden, do you mean CST (central states time) ask ciara, ah divvent knaa. Whatever it is chicago is 6 hours behind you lot, East coast is five, west coast is eight. So if it kicks off tommorow at 8 that's 2 over here, conveniently around lunch time.

CET is Central European Time. So Chicago time is 1pm. :-)

Wait a minute, now i'm confusing myself. I could swear nufc.com earlier today said ko was 2pm BST. Now there's nothing on the site...so I dunno what time ko is. That seems awfully early for a midweek match.Ignore me. I don't know what I'm blabbering about now. ;-)

Let's try this again, shall we. ko is 7pm BST, 8pm CET, 2pm EST, and 1pm CST.I think. Ok, I'll shut up now. :-)

does the Euro make a difference to the timings ?
-- Anonymous, August 07, 2001
Lol MacBeth. Regarding the Euro and time, I was engaged in a bit of research before the Euro came into being on 1/1/99 about when exactly the Euro came in to being, because, with different time zones throughout Europe, there couldn't be a split second at which the Euro came into being. Not a soul within the whole of the EU would give me the official answer or even their opinion.

I've got no net access, or even a computer for that matter. Though if the boss isn't looking, I'll see if I can get our web designer to pull up the bbs so I can get a quick look for the result.
