What would be the price of a good unbred heiffer ready to do some breeding?

Go to www.google.com, search on "livestock prices". Take your pick of whatever's in your area.

Hi, Paul, Go to www.capitalpress.com. This is an on-line agricultural newspaper for Oregon, Washington and Idaho. Click on the want ads. You will notice that Western Washington is the highest prices, then Eastern Washington, then Idaho, and then Oregon. It's just fun reading for me, but in your case should give you a serious answer to your question, and maybe even find you something close to home. I hope this helps. Kathie

In my area northern Minnesota an open dairy heifer goes for around $1200. Bred heifers are going for $1700-1850. Cattle market is red hot for dairy stock.
