Well today I have had an experience second to none. I have been with my partner Jan, to the local hospital for a scan. Yes, she’s expecting our first child. What an absolutely fantastic feeling. I can’t believe or begin to explain how I felt or feel at the moment. I have been told I will have to miss the Leicester game in January but I don’t seem to be too bothered

Great idea GaRCie but we need some info - like are you a f@t b@st@rd (like Syme) and is Jan a super model (like aal Rik's bords)?Failing that, I'm going for a whacking (but that's another thing altogether) big 9lb 5oz. I'm afraid I'm too old to translate that into Centigrade.

Clues:I am 6ft 2in's and weighs in at 15 stone exactly

Great news Garcie - I was born 2:25 on Sat Aug 22nd 1953 - we played Sunderland @ SJP - It was the Princess Elizabeth Nursing home and you can see the ground from there. My dad missed the game to do the pacing up and down bit. Sorry Dad.
PS We won.

Congratulations Garcie and Jan. What a ride you're in for now! It's all worth it, even the scary bits, and you come out at the end of it feeling complete at last.Little Bob had the common decency to wait about an extra 2 weeks until an international weekend. Consequently I watched Michael Owen score against France on the telly in the corner before eyes down to watch a miracle take place.
I'm made up for you: easily the most incredible experience outside football.

GaRCie, you owe me a video. I take it you will be recording the happy event?ATB from downunder.

I think you've missed the happy event which obviously happened some weeks ago Gus! I think there are lots of videos of such things available though.

Sorry GaRCie but the scan is like low alcohol lager, or a pre-season firendly in comparison to the FA CUP winning day that is the birthday !!

Many congratulations to you and Jan, Garcie. As to the weight - experience tells me to suggest you both start praying that it's no more than 10lbs. With that in mind, my guess is 9lbs 15oz.
