Mini Lab in Bay area.

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Leica Photography : One Thread

Hi folks, maybe not related to Leica, but I need Lab info for processing pic staken by multiple Leicas.(just moved to Bay area from east coast)

I need some info about mini labs in Bay area, I know I can call and find out myself, but I trust you guys information than my own "try and error".

I shoot color slides, B&W, 6x6, do not need a pro lab, but price/turn-around time indeed a factor than mail order.

Cupertino, Santa Clara city is close to me.

Thanks a lot..

Fred: It's not a mini lab, but does good color work reasonably: Custom Color 940 Commercial St Palo Alto, CA, (650) 494-7761. Other than that, the Wolf Photo on El Camino Real in Mountain View, does exceptional C41 work. In Santa Clara is a very good custom color lab, Color Services, but they are expensive. Hope this helps.

Thanks, I'll try that out. My wife just did a 1hr in Costco, and it ended up I asked them to reprint the pics, even she's using a Candid camera(Leica C1). - The golden gate is greenish(too far from red), and all pics were printed with white dots.

I don't know about minilabs in SF but one of the best labs in the country for E6 in in SF -- The New Lab (www.newlab.com). If getting there is not convenient some local camera send work to New Lab. I have used them and their work is first rate.

Hope this helps.
