I always enjoy reading about someone else "angle" on the Leica rangefinder system. Some decent pics too.

I find that just about any avid photographer has a strong opinion about M cameras-even if they have never held one in their hands. Makes you really want to write a review for photo.net, doesn't it?

yes.

A great review in my mind. I quite like reading the responses, especially some of the negative ones. It's really fun to guess which ones are posted by people who feel they can't afford Leica gear and so must justify to themselves and others that the camera cannot be worth what it costs. From the looks of the authors photos, I'll bet he has more than paid for his gear with his photo skills, which makes the expense completely justif

And you should also read and perhaps chuckle a little bit at the comments section under "Leica" under "35mm" under "Shopping" in photo.net, too. The link is:

The real truth about some negative feelings is that either one has and is a Leica photographer or one isn't....I required one year to really get to grips with my M3. 37 years later we are still together. My ex-wife and ex-girlfriends all preferred a photo shoot or photo hunt when I took Ziggy.(M3 and 50mm).They said I shot quicker, did'nt try out all the lenses and viewpoints. One or two expressed the desire to collar and leash me, due to tendencies to wander off.I love the freedom to travel very light and able to make quick decisions. One truth though my Canon Rebel is way faster...I also know the camera has severe life cycle.Ziggy has sot way more than 4000films all over the world and in many different climates. No battery failures,no freezing up.The machine works.Sharpness and a feeling of great reality Its difficult to explain but most of my clients and friends always prefer the leica look in their portraits.I mostly us a 50mm.For head shots a 135mm.Would prefer a 90mm.Looking at thousands of prints and slides saw that the Leica stuff so much more detailed than Nikon,Canon and Pentax. The latter had perhaps best anti-fare of all.My Summicron less than good.Hey I'm not in mint shape either.
