I hope so too - as long as he stays fit. I presume he's been OK last season? Quality and class. I think he could help the young 'uns on a lot better than Nik "Heart on his Sleave" Dabizas (who's passion and commitment I do admire). Nice to have some strong options at the back.

this would be brilliant, Dabizas is a Greek Barton, lots of commitment but always the worry he'll lose the plot, Helder was different class, Helder plus any of O'Brien, Hughes, Caldwell junior would be brilliant. Yes please.

When Bob said he was after one more player - though I'm kinda hoping for a central mf - I wondered if it might be Helder. I wonder if that would leave Caldwell looking elsewhere for first-team football. Personally I think O'Brien would be the one surplus to requirements.

Dan, last season, the injury situation made it easy for Bobby to keep everyone happy - most weeks you only basically had Goma and Aaron available with Caldwell on the bench - next season, we'll have O'Brien, Hughes, Dabizas, both Caldwells and possibly Helder. It'll all end in tears, mark my words....;)
