To be in sync with the will of God as communicated to us in the Word of God, it is not only a matter of our own inclinations but, a matter of spiritual necessity to "Pray for the peace of Jerusalem" as stated in the 122 Psalm of David. Such prayers are of imminent necessity in view of the continued unrest in that part of the world, for indeed, Jerusalem is the city of peace. "May they prosper that love you (ie the Holy City).

Rev. Turner I agree 100 percent that we do need to pray of Jerusalem and the middle east. Thank you for lifting Jerusalem up in prayer.

The bible says love your enemy. Therefore I say pray for those who would destroy us. Pray for the Hitlers of the world. Pray for Marilyn Manson. Even pray for Satan. God is a loving God, a forgiving God. Maybe if Satan truely asks for forgiveness....

Please, add George Bush and his cronies. The world cannot afford war. We, in Africa, certainly do not need it, we have come through many of them. And, all of them had very little to do with the people of Africa but what those giants of the world economy induced on the people of this continent. Rekindling the global arms race (spying on other countries like China and endorsing shipment of arms to Taiwan, by George Bush, is a direct declaration of war.

Hi Rev. Rogers,

What an excellent question! I thank God for the privilege of prayer because we can pray about anything, anybody, and any place at anytime. When we feel sad, anxious, lonely or uncertain about what to do, thank God we got a friend who we can talk to who knows all about us and our situation before we ask. When I look at the news, it is clear to me that our world leaders don't pray to God. I agree with Rev. Klaas that our world leaders seem to be creating another cold war and propelling us on a course of global destruction. We need to pray that President George Bush will pray to God and ask for wisdom to be the leader of this country. I am particularly upset with the U.S. intent to proceed with an anti-missile system and its arrogance in regards to the World Conference on Racism scheduled in Durbin, South Africa on Aug. 31, 2001. I am predicting that the American media's coverage of this most important event in the history of mankind will also be minimal.

Dear Rev.Rogers Praise God for your energy and thoughtful expression. I believe we should add to your impressive list the leaders of the Black Churches around the World. The Church of African Methodism is far from the spiritual leader and political champion of years ago. When our leaders start to move the body of Christ on righting the Aids, Famine and other problems in Africa. We may become the catalyist for economic and political changes in our home-land. In addition leaders in America and Europe need to hear from the Churh and it's leadership. God Bless You Lift you up continuously!!!
