I picked up a rumour at SJP last night - from what is supposed to be a "inside source", although one I definitely can't vouch for - that Rob Lee is going to Man City after his testimonial game as Asst. Manager/Player.

Well...I must say the show must go on before telling you all that RL is one of my favourtite players during my early years as Toon Army. The other players who took my attention and then became my favourite is David Batty and...who else? Peter Beardsley!

It's sad to see him go at this time. For what he had done to us during his spell at SJP, I think we should give him a huge respect and I once have the hope that he would spend his time with Newcastle United, while still playing or not. He was our former skipper and maybe we can learn something from other big club like AC Milan did for their former skipper Franco Baresi...well just hope...
