TAX REVOLTS - They're starting

Seems like only last year that liberal commentators were confidently asserting that Americans love paying high taxes and tax cuts were no longer a winning political issue. Now not only is President Bush's tax cut law, but tax revolts seem to be breaking out all over. In New Hampshire, the Associated Press reports, residents of Newington, population 850, want to secede from the state to prevent their property taxes from being used to subsidize schools in poorer cities and towns. And in North Carolina, some 700 protesters threw a "Tar Heel Tea Party" outside the Legislature in Raleigh to protest a Democratic tax-hike proposal.

Don't you just love the logic of the tax hikes:

"There are more people so we need to raise taxes to pay for the increase in services provided."

But if there are more people, then there are more people paying taxes, so what about that increase in tax revenue?

I think we will see some major changes in taxes soon, like Income Tax ending. Perhaps in as little as ten years. Hey, I can dream...
