Need help on the name of a kids show...

Does anyone remember a t.v. show with a guy that would sit on these big rocks and play an acoustic guitar and sing kids songs? I used to watch it as a kid along with Mr. Dressup and Under the Umbrella Tree. If you could help me, i would like that. Thanks!

Could you be talking about Fred Penner? He got to his little secret spot by climbing through a long tunnely tree trunk.. played the guitar and sang. I used to watch that when i was a kid. Oh, the memories.

Definately Fred Penner (I think the show was actually called "Fred Penner's Place".) I can still remember the twangy theme music... :)

Mr. Dress up and Under the Umbrella Tree are both Canadian.

Damn, I loved Today's Special! Jeff was the mannequin, and he turned back into a mannequin if his hat fell off or something....then there was Muffy the mouse, Sam the watchman (and his cat, Penelope, and his computer, which is not a boy, it is a TXL44 computer), and...Diane? Shoot! What was her name? This is going to bug me all day....

I was nuts about Today's Special. I watched just about every single episode when they were originally on Nickelodeon. It was the only show on there when Nickelodeon first started that didn't freak me out. Anyone remember Pinwheel? It had a bunch of foreign cartoons on it that, for some reason, really creeped out two-year-old me.

i loved today's special!! what about sharon, louis and graham? that was kinda funny.. pinwheel was cool at the time, but when i think about it, i dont remember what it was about!! richard scarry was awesome.

Sharon, Lois, and Graham are still at it. Their new show is "Skinnamarink TV" and it's on TLC. The elephant's too cartoony, though; I much prefer the elephant from "The Elephant Show" (or was it called "Sharon, Lois, and Graham's Elephant Show"?) back in the day.

yeah, i think it was the elephant show!

It's Sharon, Lois and Bram, not Graham! If you don't believe me, go to http://www.skinnamarink.com/

my bad.

Ok, this is so pathetic. When I was a child I watched Today's Special. I wrestled for a long time while I tried to determine if Sam was a real person or a puppet. The happy ending is that I now know he was a puppet. :)

or... wasn't he?

<< It's Sharon, Lois and Bram, not Graham! >>

Ah, yes. Somewhere in the back of my mind I knew Graham wasn't right but I couldn't quite put my finger on the correct name. Yes, "Sharon, Lois and Bram" sounds MUCH better, thank you.

It's an unusual name, isn't it? I've never heard of another Bram. I wonder if it's short for something.
