Only one more day of July? Uh, what?

MATHletes. Does Berman come back? Will we set up the MATH Club forum? Will Batman make sweet love to Robin?

Stay tuned.

Allison, when can we expect to see Chris' music extravaganza part deux?

What...

is...

UP???

-- Anonymous, July 30, 2001

Yay!!!!!!

So, did you have 80 billion messages? Did you read all your guest entries?

-- Anonymous, July 30, 2001

I'm doing it now. Can I say how much I love y'all? Because I do. I might just have everyone permanently write guest entries.

-- Anonymous, July 30, 2001

There are some good ones. Even though I'm sure you want to hit the other Hannah for dissing Maryland on your very own webpage.

So, did you use like every single vacation day ever?

-- Anonymous, July 30, 2001

I get three weeks per year, plus three floating holidays. I used the holidays and 12 vacation days, so I have three lonely days to play with. Two, I think, will take me to Miami with the family in December.

But the thing about my job is that, because my work schedule is reasonably flexible if I plan in advance, I can take the occasional three- or four-day weekend without using up any days, as long as I don't mind working a bunch of days in a row.

-- Anonymous, July 30, 2001

Where's AB and Al?

MATH is so lonely.

When did you get back? Friday? So, it was just you and the 2 girls the last week?

-- Anonymous, July 30, 2001

I'm going to post a general Europe thing Tuesday or Wednesday. Today I might do the trip back, because we didn't get back until 6:30 a.m. Saturday. Then, of course, I took by jet-lagged self to see Sarah Harmer, Vertical Horizon and the Barenaked Ladies last night.

Yeah, it was me and two girls. But believe me, had the trip gone on another week with just us three, I might have had to take drastic action. Like, run away.

-- Anonymous, July 30, 2001

Don't you LOVE Sarah Harmer? I love her.

I was more jet-legged the day after. Like, we got home at 10:30 p.m. on Sunday night and I was okay on Mon, but Tuesday I was a mess. Of course, that was the day I left for Austin at like 8 a.m. too. No wonder I got sick.

-- Anonymous, July 30, 2001

I liked her. We were very far away, so I'd like to hear more of her stuff before I make up my mind.

This fantasy baseball chat should be a disaster. I'm way out of the loop.

-- Anonymous, July 30, 2001

Did you go with the blind date girl?

I saw James Taylor on Saturday night. It was really good, but too romantic.

-- Anonymous, July 30, 2001

No -- with a co-worker.

BNL, y'all? Sooooo funny. They rocked.

-- Anonymous, July 30, 2001

MIKE BERMAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

In the HOUSE!!!!!!!!!!!!

-- Anonymous, July 30, 2001

H, I forgot to tell you we ALMOST saw Sarah Harmer the other night with Tom Petty, but we missed her, due to the traffic. Also, they drunk ass punk bastard kids behind us would have ruined her anyway.

Y'all, I still don't have a job, and I'm very upset and worried about it, but the return of Berman to the colonies where he belongs has cheered me right up.

-- Anonymous, July 30, 2001

The L of L cannot be an L_L this early in the day...

-- Anonymous, July 30, 2001

Hey, I'm chatting ... cut me a lil' slack.

-- Anonymous, July 30, 2001

I am here. I had been at lunch, you see.

Did you hear back from Cancer jags?

-- Anonymous, July 30, 2001

I did not, because they are evil. I think the boss lady is out of town, anyway. Whatever.

I caught the end of Berman's chat. I've missed it. I like how Berman works in the slang at every opportunity. "I'm all about making trades."

-- Anonymous, July 30, 2001

Oh, Teri just called me. But then her signal faded.

-- Anonymous, July 30, 2001

Is she still at the beach?

-- Anonymous, July 30, 2001

Yes, they're staying till Wednesday. She had to drive to find a signal!

-- Anonymous, July 30, 2001

How I wish I was there myself.

Tell her I made a pot roast last night that she would have been proud of.

-- Anonymous, July 30, 2001

Mmmm, pot roast.

Oh, I forgot to ask her about the MATH Club forum. I'm sure she'd be okay with it.

Where be the A to the B?

-- Anonymous, July 30, 2001

Oh y'all. Y'all. I just got a google search for "creama." (HA!) And, AND, I am the number one result when you search for "freaky toes."

-- Anonymous, July 30, 2001

Oh and here I thought MATH was 3/5 strong. Alas, we are not.

-- Anonymous, July 30, 2001

Y'all? I had more than seven hundred (700) e-mails in my work account.

Urgh.

-- Anonymous, July 30, 2001

Good lord. I hope most of them are list servs or crap you can delete right off.

Good thing you're not on Diary-l or else your hotmail would be overflowing. They've been very prolific as of late. Of course, talking about NOTHING.

-- Anonymous, July 30, 2001

BERMAN!

Oh, how we've missed you.

We're childless for the next week, y'all--Mad Mad went to the beach with my parents. Master V and I are like little kids.

-- Anonymous, July 30, 2001

I wish I was at the beach ... I need a vacation after the vacation!

AB, how could you let my hometown Wizards sign Tyrone Lue?

-- Anonymous, July 30, 2001

M, I tried not to, I did! But he kicked them in the knees and started tearing out his corn rows in a rage, and they had no choice!

-- Anonymous, July 30, 2001

And Laettner too. So sad.

I decided: From now on, bermanation.com is all entries all the time. Well, maybe not. But they did rock.

-- Anonymous, July 30, 2001

Except for T, who shafted us with her no-entry sending self. She WAS at the beach, though.

Everything look okay on there?

-- Anonymous, July 30, 2001

AB!

Look, almost every MATHlete signed on today! The tide has turned.

-- Anonymous, July 30, 2001

Yeah, it looks great. Thanks so much!

I decided I really have to do something with my links page. What, I have no idea.

-- Anonymous, July 30, 2001

H! You get the forum ready yet?

Hey, Pineapple loved your SaTC entry. Alas, we do not have HBO, so I cannot concur.

Oh, speaking of which, y'all, have you seen this documentary called "Just, Melvin"? We watched it last night at Matt's. It is CLAZY.

-- Anonymous, July 30, 2001

I decided I really have to do something with my links page.

M, you could do that thing where you write a little thing about each one you link, a la Rob--or, even easier, quote the person, like on Keli's links page.

-- Anonymous, July 30, 2001

oh AB, I couldn't tape the doc. for you. I'm so sorry! Let me know when it's on again.

I wanted to get Mike's ok. Mike?

-- Anonymous, July 30, 2001

Mean H. No, that's okay, I'm going to borrow Matt's and just copy it.

Do y'all keep getting viruses sent to you? I've gotten 2 already today. Bitches!

-- Anonymous, July 30, 2001

I'm not sure. What are the subjects of them?

I can start setting it up, but we need names for Sports, Food and Journalling....

And the forum name? Just "The MATH Club"?

-- Anonymous, July 30, 2001

I like this trend where I have to give my nod of approval for things to happen. We should definitely keep it up.

Are we talking about the forum?

-- Anonymous, July 30, 2001

It's different subjects, but the bodies are all asking "for your advice." And there's an attachment.

I think MATH plus one. Or, mathplusone. Or, you know, whatever y'all like.

-- Anonymous, July 30, 2001

No, M, we're talking about whether H should give up her job and pursue her dreams of becoming a log-rolling champion.

Oh, wait. Yeah, we're talking about the forum.

-- Anonymous, July 30, 2001

I think MATH plus one too. That would be easier to move.

Mr. M?

-- Anonymous, July 30, 2001

I deign to offer my approval. Sounds fine.

I read "Poptainment" (or whatever the pop culture suggestion was Friday) as "Popetainment", which is much funnier. We could combine Catholicism and MBTV.

-- Anonymous, July 30, 2001

Oh, I think "Popetainment" is pure brilliance.

What about the other categories? We have "Unleaded" for the regular topic, right?

Sports? "Something, Latrell, and his Boo"?

-- Anonymous, July 30, 2001

Hee. Latrell and his Boo! But that's too L_L, don't you think?

Journalling: your life.com or something like that?

And for food, no clue. Eats? Get your Eat On?

-- Anonymous, July 30, 2001

Get Your Eat On. Hee!

Journalling: meta.com? I don't know, I just like the word meta.

-- Anonymous, July 30, 2001

Okay. Math Plus One Journalling: Meta.com

Food: Get Your Eat On

Other: Unleaded

Popcult: Poptainment

Sports: ????

I'm excited.

-- Anonymous, July 30, 2001

We can't have "Popetainment (Religion and Pop Culture)"?

Okay, for Sports: "Iverson, his Boo, and You."

-- Anonymous, July 30, 2001

Hee. That is funny. Do you think it would be confusing? Nah. MATH readers are smart.

Yes. Iverson, his Boo and You.

To set it up, I just need an appropriate backlink. AB - I sent you an email. Did you get it? I was thinking one of us could have ourdomain.com/mathplusone

-- Anonymous, July 30, 2001

Here be the URL: http://www.greenspun.com/bboard/q-and-a.tcl?topic=MATH%20 Plus%20One

I'm setting up the categories now. The admin password is "integers" and the admin email is mathplusone@yahoo.com (that I still have to set up).

-- Anonymous, July 30, 2001

Cool!

-- Anonymous, July 30, 2001

Can y'all give me questions? You need questions in order to create categories.

Also, I set it so it says the name, email and date whenever someone asks a question. Do y'all like that? (It's how Beth does it, but pamie never had that option.)

-- Anonymous, July 30, 2001

Or duh, y'all could go ask questions and then I'll categorize them.

-- Anonymous, July 30, 2001

Yeah, I like it that way.

Thinking of questions...

-- Anonymous, July 30, 2001

What sucks is that you won't be able to see the categories until the questions are no longer "new"

-- Anonymous, July 30, 2001

Herro? I need a food, sports and popetainment question. Also, check out the "about" link at the top. Is that cool?

-- Anonymous, July 30, 2001

What sucks is that you won't be able to see the categories until the questions are no longer "new"

I lied. I fixed it. Okay, if you guys ask a couple more questions, I'll categorize them and it cna go live tomorrow! AB is making a mathplusone.html page we can all put on our sites, if we want.

-- Anonymous, July 30, 2001

Looking at back issues of the fourm...

"I think before Mike comes back we should write one last guest entry for Berman. It could be called MATH girls on Mike.

Except it won't be porn."

You've GOT to do that!

-- Anonymous, July 30, 2001

Heee. Okay!

Look what AB made!!

http://www.annachao.com/mathplusone.html

And I got it on my page too! http://www.hannahbeth.com/mathplusone.html
