Mitch, I've heard about this, and it sounds like it's basically an attack on the white house, which has serious ramifications in itself. I guess the worm does no actual damage to one's personal computer, but uses it to replicate itself to anyone on line with two or three different Microsoft operating systems. It does this for 20 days per month, then all the infested computers start trying to overload the whitehouse's computers with email.
Anyway, that's my understanding from listening to the news yesterday. Is that about right, folks?
Also, the news says, it is possible that this method could have been, or could in the future be, used to destroy data in the home computers, as well.
Are we Mac users immune this time?
