It seems like the biggest effect so far is a chilling of relations with most of the rest of the world, mostly due to unpopular decisions, half of which were made before George W. even came into office.

Another big effect is that a lot of newspaper and TV news services have a lot more free time on their hands because George W. doesn't crank out a new scandal every week.

I'm scared to quit a job that isn't going anywhere and is abusive because I know too many people right now who wuit or were laid off and are now having hard times and not being able to find anything else to do.
