SuperMac hyperbole and more in today's Pink

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Unofficial Newcastle United Football Club BBS : One Thread

In today's Pink, saying that Craig Bellamy has been a fantastic addition to the side and has revolutionised our game....??!! Also, Terry Mac choosing his best ever XI including not a single Newcastle player but Arthur Cox as manager. Finally, the "If I were boss" section outdoes itself with someone who get rid of ALL our South Americans. The Pink has to be the best Saturday afternoon comic going...

Not really, I'm afraid: There is some stuff about Robert, saying that we had requested that he not play on Wednesday etc but nothing concrete.. there's some mirth about Hamman saying that 1860 would stuff us but otherwise, very little of cheer ;(

Oh well - thanks anyway! Dunno what I was expecting really but some kind of signing would be nice!

Dietmar Hamman - what a hero! Spineless, and lower than snakes belly imho - ugly Sour Kraut too.

An interesting point from the Journal seems to clear up this UEFA eligibilty issue. A player becomes cup-tied for the UEFA Cup if he plays in either the semi or final of the Inter2bob. The tortuous logic underlying this escapes me but these foreign Johnnies are a wierd lot as you know :-). These trophies should all be run by Sir Stanley Rous I'm sure. Yes - I know he's dead but I don't think that would make any difference.

Robert was omitted from the game on Wednesday and so is still free to play for any club in the UEFA.
