How to get Abrahamsson "Softie" on Bessa T?greenspun.com : LUSENET : Leica Photography : One Thread |
In this world filled with so much suffering I feel ashamed to be asking this. But here goes. Has anyone managed to use an Abrahamsson Softie shutter release button on a Bessa T? I've found that the shutter speed dial and the Softies just barely touch each other, causing the shutter button to stick. Has anyone found a solution? I'm thinking of somesort of spacers.

How about a bit of filing on the softie, instead? It's not like they're horribly expensive.

Stephen Gandy (http://www.cameraquest.com) claims that standard softie works on his T. As to the smaller softie Tom was saying about releasing such a version that would fit Rollei TLRs and Bessa-Rs but due to his ilness this project was delayed, AFAIK.

Thanks for the toughts, friends.Alexander Grekhov raises an interesting question. Was there a modification made at some time on the T's shutter speed dial design?
At this point I am much more concerned about Tom's health than this little problem.
