WOO-HOO - Sweetie got a job!

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Current News : One Thread

We don't have it in writing yet, but the offer was made via phone half an hour ago. The salary is a bit more than he was making too! The plan is for him to start Wednesday and be ready to fly to Houston that night for a business meeting on Thursday, back Friday.

Thanks to all of you for pulling for us' I know you did and I know you felt for us. Special thanks to David, Helen and SAR (you guys know why!), to Meemur for helping out the animals when we couldn't, to those who quietly offered financial help (bless you!), and to the many people who checked with connections all over the place for job possibilities. And Helen--kiss the mule!

I'm still going to take in typing; stash away some emergency money. We had enough for this unexpected emergency but more would have been better--I would have been a lot less apprehensive.

It was a long three months.

OG,

I'm doing my famous happy dance for the two of you. Tell Hubby to wave "HI" as he (sort of) flys over.

Wish you were close, cause I'd give you a bottle of home made wine to celebrate.

I KNEW y'all would be tickled! Nope, Barefoot, this place is even closer than where Sweetie was before--maybe 15 minutes, barring wreck holdups. I just got back from the usual places the Hungarian and I go to for bargains and I found him a GREAT, really sturdy backpack, hardly used, for all the books he's going to be carting back and forth.
