OK - Snake causes power outage 2001-07-24 From Staff and Wire ReportsHARRAH -- A snake that crawled into an electrical substation left 2,200 homes without power for about an hour Monday. The snake caused a short, which cut off electricity to homes east of Harrah and north of McLoud from noon until 1 p.m., said Cordis Slaughter, Canadian Valley Co-op spokesman.
An American Indian-operated casino and a gasoline station in the area also lost power.
